"Although this is not a high end property, it is ideal for anyone wanting somewhere to stay when visiting the Co-op live arena or the Etihad stadium, an the free parking is a bonus. It was around a 10 minute walk to the arena. The stairs are very steep and narrow and care is needed coming down them. The bathroom and bedding etc was really clean and the beds were very comfortable. Checking in was very easy and keyless and the host was quick to reply on the day when asking about the WiFi password...

"I love staying here before a flight and also on my return from a long haul. Love that you now get an email to say your room is ready even before time. Big comfy clean bed and spacious too. Only complaint is not enough of those delicious biscuits on the hospitality tray haha"

"It's an odd place, an odd set up. Check-in is a bit farcical as they insist on your qr code link and registering whilst they stand there waiting. Then that registration needs N official ID, passport or driving licence etc, then you realise you can enter 12345678 a d that is ok. Rooms are decent a d decent sized, no kettle, and cleen shower pod. The blocks housing LL the rooms are odd, hostel feel. Saying all that, they are good value. So there you go"

"Wonderful historic hotel situated in the city centre so perfect for exploring. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We arrived very early due to train changes in a heatwave, was hoping to take advantage of the free bag storage, instead we were able to check in 4 hours early! The Room was clean and functional. Hair dryer, bath and shower available. TV, kettle in room which was spacious. My only gripe, is the beds were positioned away from plug sockets for recharging, and only 3 total. There was no air conditioning or fans made available though it is an old property. But a little investment could improve that. The biggest problem was again, old property/lack of investment. The central location meant we were plagued by noise which would have been preventable with upgraded, modern, double glazing windows. But overall a great stay and would probably stay again. But with plug adapters and ear plugs!"

"The hotel is in an excellent location, particularly for Salford Quays, and overall we had a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful, and I had no issues whatsoever with the bed, view or parking. However, the rooms feel quite outdated for the modern traveller and have not kept pace with what guests expect in 2026. Our room had no fridge, very limited USB charging points and a bathroom that, while clean and functional, was clearly in need of modernisation. One particularly frustrating issue was the bedside USB ports, which were actually located underneath the bedside table. This made them extremely awkward to access and, with a short charging cable, using a phone comfortably in bed was difficult. In 2026, when guests travel with phones, tablets and smartwatches, easily accessible charging points should really be standard. We ate in the hotel restaurant on three occasions and found the food quite nice. The hotel's proximity to Salford Quays is also a major advantage and the location itself is excellent. Overall, the hotel has a great deal going for it. If the rooms were modernised with updated bathrooms, a fridge and better charging facilities, I would score this hotel very highly. The staff and location are excellent, but the rooms need updating to better reflect the needs of today's traveller."
