"Everything 5 star, except the shuttle and bell. Karo our server at the pool was amazing! 1 star for bell and shuttle. 25 minutes for your car, 30 minutes to get to your room and left us for 40 minutes waiting for bell and a ride to the lodge. Finally walked down and told them to grab the luggage when they had time. If we had needed to be somewhere, we would have been an hour late. "

"Great location. Healdsburg is a bit overpriced . Service is always fantastic . A bit disappointed no complimentary breakfast and was not upgraded or at least a better view . (Overlooked gas station)."

"Nice hotel, great location. When we arrived the desk staff was withering the abuse of a possibly drunk, nightmarish Karen and the staff handled her childlike tantrum with admirable patience and diplomacy. Hate to see people treated that way, especially in front of my kids. "

"The property is built in the mission architecture style that is warm and inviting. Staff was helpful whenever I had questions. There was wine tasting in the main building from one of the local vineyards that I hadn’t visited before. The wines were delicious and went to downtown Sonoma to buy. I ate in the bar and spa. "The room is updated with a nice bathroom and tub shower. Bed was comfortable and had excellent sheets and linens. There are two comfortable sitting chairs in the room. The location is excellent with several places to eat within easy walking distance. "

"We had a great time at The Ruse. This was the best stay we had on our California road trip! Every member of the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The groundskeeper, both front desk workers, and chef for breakfast specially went above and beyond to make sure our stay was incredible. "
