"The owner is not kind or friendly, I had to wait in rain around 40 minutes before a kind neighbor arrived and helped, no bed is ok but tatami and everything is short, I’m 5’8 only and I had to try sleeping in half moon position, no bathroom attached bed room, at night time you have to go down into a very steep stairs which is dangerous, no taxi can enter the premise and will not come to get you. "Beautiful and romantic with views of Fuji if the weather is right (almost never, such is life). Excellent personal onsen (mini mineral bath), very romantic. Slippers, pyjamas, soaps provided. Even a telescope and star projector! The place is very spacious for a family with two kids. Big kitchen and dining and living room. Big balcony with private foot bath. Big projector screen and you can stream video to it from your phone.
Not much dining in the area. In fact, all of Hakone hasn't much dining but here is even less. Big 7-11 nearby and you can get many breakfast items there.
The two beds are in the same room so if you are with your children then after they go to sleep you will need to be creative. However, the apartment is big and the opportunities are plenty. No problem."
