"This is my first review of anything ever - product, place, airline, anything! My stay at The George deserves a review because it was so perfect. Amazing food, lovely room, slept well, great breakfast. Simply nothing negative to say! Staff are great and I will stay again if I get the chance. My only feedback would be to suggest soft close toilet seats in the rooms 😬"

"We stayed 3 nights in a bleak February. The weather was bad, but the room was warm and cosy. The dining hall was shut, but a continental breakfast was laid out on the landing and a small table and chairs provided in the room. Cooked breakfast was available for a small extra fee, but we didn't feel we needed one. "Great staff, really nice and friendly to chat with and hang out in the pub. Cozy rooms but not small or claustrofobic like other "cozy" places are. Nice food and drink options in the pub too. Lovely quiet area to be in for a few nights. "
