the worst experience i ever had during my travel/business stays, rude and impatient front desk.. don't even wanna spend extra to tell about the story, but it took me 3 hours to get my room super unfriendly to foreigner they are very unhelpful but trying to send the issue to guests instead of solving it...good luck

Good discreet hotel next to Hongqaio airport
First what was good: 1) It is in a very quiet residential area. In the morning you can hear birds. You would have no idea you are close to an airport. The view of the lake and houses around it is very nice. 2) The room is quite large and the bathroom is really well organized 3) Bedding is very good Then what could be improved: 1) Internet is not good, the great firewall of China probably has something to do with it 2) Staff English is a bit broken and in general you do not see a lot of people working for the hotel. Also I could barely see foreigners in the hotel 3) Breakfast is basic. Also even so we booked for 2 people on Expedia, we only got vouchers for one person 4) It is a bit isolated, inside a residential village so you need to use Didi to get a taxi (which is fine) 5) Climate control is one way only. In our case it was warm for the season so we had to let the window opened.

Good location near NECC
Good location if you are visiting a fair at the National Exhibition Center, the hotel provides free shuttle at scheduled times (though we were not able to use), but the taxi would also cost not more than 30Y. Good and very helpful staff. The center is about 15 to 20 min walk

Beautiful Shanghai hotel with Chinese accent decor
A beautiful quiet hotel with Chinese accent in the room decorations. We enjoyed the free back/shoulder massage machine that was provided in the room. Bathroom was so beautiful and spacious. The backyard pool and terrace were really nice.

Great Hotel - get address from Hotel before you go
Wonderful hotel, comfortable, clean - good breakfast. The address on Expedia takes you to one side of a gated complex. Taxis cannot enter the gate. We ended up having to walk about 1/2 mile to get to the hotel. Best to contact the hotel before you leave USA and ask for the hotel address for taxis AND get the address in Chinese characters - Taxi drivers do not read / speak English.

Great stay, but beware.
This place was beautiful, and worth the money. But I have two warnings: 1. It is in the middle of a neighborhood, which means there really isn't a good view unless you have a room in the back of the hotel. (There's a mini-lake and deck behind). 2. They don't speak good English. I speak a good bit of Chinese, so it was fine for me. But it would cause problems for other Westerners who don't speak any.

The hotel was clean modern and pretty much what I expected from the reviews. None of the staff speak English so be prepared for that. Google translate will be your friend!

4 star rooms but far from any restaurants or shops
close to the new convention center and hongqiao airport but inside a residential area not close to any restaurants or shopping AT ALL the hotel is new and rooms are 4 star one small muslim restaurant a 10 minute walk from the back gate was very good! thats all there is

it has the look of a luxury hotel. Beautiful interiors in solid wood. Staff generally helpful. The upgrade room was spacious and quite. I would recommend for those who want to stay close to airport or main station

First time here. Room is spacious and comfortable.
It is a convenient location from Hongqiao airport but taxi driver doesn't know where this place it. The hotel is located in a residential area. Making it harder to get to.

I wouldn't recommend unless you need an hotel close to Hongqiao station, which is about 10 mins by taxi. The rooms are magnificent. The food from the one restaurant is ok, but the English of the staff is not great. There's nothing much else around the hotel. Its seems to be in some sort of residential compound.

Okay hotel, not a convenient location
Booked this hotel because it is described as close to Hongqiao airport. It is about 10-15 minutes to the airport/train station. However, it is in a private neighborhood and is hard for a cab to find and has nothing next to it. I needed to be at the train station at 6 AM to catch an early train and asked the desk when I checked in if they had a shuttle bus. No bus but they said just call down and they would have a cab waiting for me. One of the reasons that I picked this hotel was that it included breakfast. Now I found out that breakfast doesn't open till 8 AM - at a airport hotel? I get up early, no hot water at the sink, have to shave with cold water. Shower was 'warm'. Called down to the front desk at 5:45 - no one answers. I put the phone on speaker phone and let it ring for 5 minutes - still no answer. So they don't call a cab until I make to the front desk at 5:55. Takes 15 minutes for a cab to get their and another 10-15 to get to the train station. I make my train but don't even have time to get breakfast at the train station - not a good start to my day. For rest of trip I stayed at the Hongqiao airport hotel - no problems at all.

This hotel was superb, very clean and comfortable. Friendly helpfull staff and very good value. Because it is new it is a bit hard to find with a taxi, but keep the phone number with you and the driver can get directions. Overall excellent

Convenient to Hong qiao stations
I didn't know the Gloria chain of hotels and took a chance staying here, since it was brand new and with absolutely no reviews anywhere. It is a 10 minute cab ride SW of Hongqiao stations away from the traffic side of Shanghai. Beautiful little getaway, great restuarant, great staff and anxious to please since they are new. I probably paid 1/4 of what the final rate will be after this low intro Expedia rate - but you won't be dissappointed. Because it is so new, taxi drivers are likely to drop you off on the backside of the gated community that the hotel is attached to. No problem, just show your reservation to the guards and walk around the block to the direct opposite side to find the hotel - it's safe, but can be alittle long with heavy luggage.

距離國家會展中心3公里
下次國家會展中心的展覽，可以考慮續住，有一天下大雨，路口的馬路淹大水，汽車差點不能出入。有時出租車就會不太好叫

clean room with nice view,close to NECC.
The room is clean and very nice decoration. But you have to walk around 1 km. to get the nearest restaurant. if you come to visit NECC only this hotel is a good choice(walk 2.4 km. to the event hall ) but if you go to town it take about 30 min by subway. Hotel have suttle bus service for free to NECC on week day only.

夜中、部屋の窓ガラスが突然割れってしまって、超びっくり‼️原因不明‼️ 朝食の種類も少なく、物足りない。 そうして、ホテルは、高級別荘住宅敷地内にあるので、初めて行くと、探すのが、大変かも。 以上。
