"We love it at this hotel, but I didn’t give it 5 stars this time because it smelled musty in the lobby and in our room, and our bathroom was where I could smell it the worst. Last time we stayed, we were given an upstairs room but this time we were downstairs very near the lobby. I figured it was from the weather and being so close to the beach. We also had trouble with the refrigerator in our room and we lost some of our perishable food the first night. It didn’t stay as cold as it should have...

"this hotel took some getting used to. the bottom half of the hotel is full time renters, the top half is hotel guests. the rooms are very small, and the hallways could use an update and air conditioning. the water pressure in my room was very low. the bed was really comfortable. the under hotel parking is overpriced per day. the area the hotel is located is a cool part of san diego with lots of bars, restaurants, and grocery stores within walking distance. overall an ok place to stay."
