"Stayed at two other California hostels in the past couple of years and this one was by far the best. Very private double bed, great bathroom facilities, and overall just a really great experience. My only complaint would be that the kitchen area is small. Hard for more than one person to move around in there."

"The location was perfect. They have free breakfast, tea and coffee. Just 5 mins from the beach and close to Sunset Cliffs. The staff were so nice! I also made new friends on my trip. I will definitely come back again!"

"Maravillosa opción para quedarse en el centro de San Diego, sobre todo por su ubicación que conecta con varios sitios turísticos y medios de transporte. A pesar de ser un hostal, el cuarto con baño privado es la mejor opción para privacidad, realmente es como un cuarto de hotel. El personal es super amable y muchos de ellos hablan español a la perfección, por lo que la comunicación es excelente. Sin duda mi lugar ideal cada que visite San Diego."

"I woke up itching and found that I had a squashed a bed bug on my arm. I found another live bed bug crawling on my bed. I told the staff and they moved me to a different room (which they said didn’t have bed bugs and I wondered why people weren’t already sleeping there?) This seemed to be a common occurrence here and I feel like they may have already known about their bed bug problems."

"The location was really amazing (many restaurants and good grocery store close by) and the vibe of the hostel was great, everyone was super friendly and fun to talk to. I had a private room and the mattress was unbelievably awful, felt every spring pop underneath me with every roll. Also, there were cockroaches :("
