"This is a pub/hotel just on the outskirts of the city centre, just a five minute walk to the Arndale Centre, I really do mean a 5 min walk as I have a false knee, breakfast is excellent and for £2 you can go large, there is a menu for evening which is very nice, and being a pub plenty to drink at proper prices, rooms are clean and well serviced and have all you need, I didn’t need to pack an iron, there is no air con but a big fan which was ample, shower and amenities excellent, I’d use this...

"This is a pub. The rooms are accessed via steep stairs. It is a shared bathroom which is only adequate. The locals in the bar are intimidating unless you like the football crowd type of person. The bar was busy every night with proper drinkers. The smell of cannabis in the outside areas was prevalent. If you like the Tv series ‘shameless’ you would be right at home here. Saying that I would return if I was ever in the area but it’s not for everyone "
