"We stayed in a spacious family room with a beautiful sea view. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean; we really liked the room's location. However, we had some issues with cleanliness—the carpet was dirty, and the bathtub drain was clogged, causing water to pool during showers. Also, the edges of the tub were not clean. On the positive side, the outdoor pool was open and heated, which our daughter really enjoyed. The pool area was well-decorated and maintained. The staff were helpful and polite. As for breakfast, it was quite ordinary with limited options, but they provided cheese once we asked for it. It met our expectations but wasn't anything spectacular."

"From the moment we checked in everyone was very helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and the bed VERY comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, great choice, everything very fresh, continuously refilled and area kept very clean. Parking in car park opposite hotel was very convenient. All in all a great stay and I will return!"

"We had a wonderful stay at The Ness. The location is beautiful with amazing views! All staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic and highly enjoyed by my two young sons. The homemade granola was a lovely touch. We would recommend to friends and family, and look forward to returning again."

"Parking is limited and prebookable at £10 a night, but there is plenty of free street parking in the area. We had a nice sea view on the 3rd floor, but unfortunately the lift only goes up to the 2nd floor. The room was compact but clean and comfortable with a nice big walk in shower. The breakfast is a buffet and was included in the price we paid. It was edible but the bacon was stuck together so some wasn’t cooked properly and the eggs were a little rubbery. Also the toaster was very much hit and miss. To be fair there was a coach party staying so maybe that's why things were a litte chaotic. We would stay there again though. "

"This hotel is very dingy and shabby. The bedroom had dark grey walls, making it feel.like a cell. There was no.breakfast. i didnt want to sleep there, so I slept on my friend's sofa instead. It is by far the worst place I have ever stayed. I wonder if it being used primarily to house homeless people. "

"We arrived late on a Thursday evening, our room was small but was tidy and seemed clean, we paid budget so didn’t expect too much. However, we immediately noticed two large cockroaches coming up from under the carpet, my partner went to reception and we got a room change straight away and upgraded to a bigger room on the opposite side of the hotel. The new room was fine and no sign of any bugs so we stayed there for the three nights we’d booked. It wasn’t exactly dirty but it wasn’t spotless and had a bit of a musky smell, so my guess is that it’s an old building and has some damp which attracted the cockroaches, but I’m no expert! Our room was never cleaned while we were there but as we were only there three nights purely to sleep there that didn’t bother us, we had to ask reception for more milk, tea and coffee for the room which they were happy to provide. I think potentially our room wasn’t cleaned because of the change of room, maybe they didn’t know we were in there, or maybe it wasn’t a service included in our price. The bed wasn't very comfortable. The WiFi wasn’t great, I used my data the whole time and my partner had issues with the WiFi dropping off. We didn’t eat at the hotel but the breakfast looked ok, we didn’t use the bar or any of the public areas but they all seemed nice and tidy. The staff were really nice and friendly the whole time. The area for us was ideal, only a short walk to Babbacombe or St Marychurch which is why we chose this hotel. "
