Cozy, easy, affordable
Very nice place. We only had one night and didn’t try the breakfast so I can’t speak to that. One annoyance was that we booked through Hotels.com where it was posted saved and breakfast. But it is actually a Danish hostel meaning you need to bring your own bedding. This was not clear and not a problem but was an additional charge that we weren’t expecting. It’s never good to have an extra charge applied when checking out. Always feels like a downer.

My first experience of a hostel. Nice comfy and clean room and good value. Not en-suite but the loo and shower were very good. Unfortunately, we were assigned a room in between the kitchen/dining room and shower: too noisy, and I don’t think it should be used as a guest room unless in an emergency and guest advised beforehand

All in all a very nice place, in beautiful surroundings. Great value for money. The hosts are extremely friendly and relaxed, and the breakfast is so delicious with homemade organic jams and freshly homebaked rolls ;0) Our room was a ´bit small, and had to share bath rooms. buth ok nice and clean.

A hidden gem.
The hostel was fantastic. Great location to catch the ferry to Sylt, wonderful hosts who had no problem when we were 3 hours late. The main part of the house is almost 300 years old and breakfast is served there. Don’t missed a great breakfast served by our hosts in a fabulous setting that is totally unexpected in a hostel.

Beautiful youth hostel 2 km from port
The hostel is run by a lovely danish couple who is very friendly and helpful. The old building is grass thatched and nicely renovated, surrounded by trees. Nice small kitchen to be used by guests, nice bathrooms, table tennis, trampoline. Go for the breakfast, it is delicious with self made bread rolls, bread, cake, fresh fruit, home made marmalade, organic milk and muesli, juice.... There are facilities for horse riding and minigolf near-by, also a small shop, ice cream and hotdog bar. The beach is 3 km away, difficult to reach without car.
