"Clean and presentable room. Good shower in the room. The big downfall was the air con was flashing a service light and not working and other guests reported the same issue. No windows to open so the room was uncomfortably hot during the night"

"Possibly the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Bed was comfy, difficult for two of us to get dressed in the room at the same time 😂. Basic common area amenities, mention of a grab and go breakfast but no sign of one. Paid coffee machine in lobby. Good venue in nice part of Brum close to pretty St Paul’s Square. Probably won’t stay there again, but it was ok."

I enquired if there was an event due to the volume. Check in team asked if I had been before, I explained I had not but then had to keep asking about amenities eg when and where breakfast took place and how to find the lift to the bedrooms. "The hotel is situated just outside the Mail box and overlooks the canal network in the heart of Birmingham. Excellent location and handy car park. Lots of bars, shops and restaurants within a pleasant stroll. The hotel itself is quite minimalist but has a bar, coffee area and breakfast restaurant. "Unfortunately we were put in a room that faces the road where there are ongoing roadworks. These went on all through the night, we gave up at 7 am and went for breakfast then headed straight home. The lorries were constantly back and forth with reversing alarms going. I have complained to premier inn but they accept no responsibility for placing guests in rooms while this work continues. Avoid Waterloo Street Birmingham for the time being."

Bad: not clean, smelled cleaning products when we arrived, took a while for te smell to go away. didnt bring extra pilows when i asked fot it, the reception said that it was on the way but never received it. Did't refill the coffee paper cups."
