"I have never had a worse vacation in my life. Upon arrival the staff was extremely unfriendly and not helpful. We had issues with getting a room with two beds. The room we got was not clean and had flies and mosquitoes everywhere, dirty shower with hair (not ours). We complained and were assisted with getting the room “fumigated and deep cleaned” the next day. That same day we came home from dinner to our door left open and unlocked for anyone to steal our belongings. Upon entering the room and showering there was a cockroach in the bathroom. We called the front desk they sent someone (a whole hour later) who sprayed chemicals. After he sprayed we saw SIX more roaches that were massive.. absolutely disgusting. We then got another room for the night (after having to lug all our luggage to lobby at 1am). They had no rooms with two beds so my friend had to sleep on a COT for the night. The next day they got us a THIRD room and “upgraded” us. They tried to make me sign an agreement to not leave a review to which I refused. The majority of the food was not good whatsoever. The property is huge and the shuttles are hard to catch they do not run often enough. We did have help from Natividad at the front desk. She was wonderful at doing everything she could to improve our stay but unfortunately after everything that took place our vacation was ruined. I went for my 30th birthday thinking it would be fun and relaxing it was anything but that. Would never recommend anyone stay here."

"Absolutely horrible customer service. The staff is completely rude! The food is disgusting and unsanitary! My family left with a stomach virus, vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, and asthma. The venting in the rooms are completely filthy! I took videos and photos ! All the sinks were leaking, black mold underneath! My room was nowhere near clean! The water smells, the pool even smelled like garbage and vomit. My son was forced to go to a hospital, then not treated for " stomach virus" and severe dehydration yet charged me at the resort as well as in the hospital over $2000!!! I want a full refund from this resort and will press charges if the hospital does not refund me as well. The resort is infested with rats and roaches as well! My mother had to change rooms due to roaches! My sliding door did not fully close leaving dozens of mosquitos in the room that bit me and my children!! The water is disgusting and getting bottled water in any restaurant was not optional! The buffet was disgusting, I watched as the waiters wipe counters with the same rag they wiped tongs and plates!! If you are looking to get very I'll, then this resort is for you! "

"The Royal resort was amazing due to having the luxury of having no kids on your side, but also being able to visit the amenities on their side and the restaurants. The beach was beautiful. The restaurants were good. The only thing they need to do is finish it up renovating the rooms in this resort will be a 10 out of 10. Victor professional driver is 11/10"
