"Really friendly staff, and the hotel allows guests to use a cowork area with comfy seats and cooking facilities. Free tea and coffee with lots of little nooks to sit and relax. Right next to the coast and the i360 so you don’t have far to go to all the sights of Brighton. Beds were really comfortable. The road outside is busy and can get quite noisy but quiet enough at night."

"A lovely welcome from the reception staff, who are all very friendly and efficient. Good breakfast, as the bacon & sausage were superb. The bedroom (a privilege room) was fairly small but had a balcony which would have been useful in decent weather, the bathroom is a reasonable size and nice. The cool box doesn’t seem too efficient & our drinks weren’t particularly cold. No drawer space, which is very annoying and, to use the kettle or coffee maker, you have to put them on the floor, where the plug is ( neither had a cable long enough to reach a plug, which is pretty ridiculous). I’m a little annoyed by the upgrade offer. I took up a £15 per night offer, but heard the reception staff offering upgrades for 10 per night, so feel a little ripped off."

"No parking as advertised. Staff were very casual - often sat on their phones on the sofa round the corner from the front desk. There was nowhere to hang the shower hose. It was just loose over the bath. They did fix it once I told them, but I would've expected it to have been addressed before my arrival. The windows were a bit broken and there was pigeon mess all over the sills. The view was very derelict. Overall it was ok for a place to lay my head on a work trip, but there's plenty of room for improvement. If the staff occupied their time by checking rooms/corridors for maintenance issues or cleaning rather than sitting on the somewhat dilapidated sofas in the lobby, they would do much better. "

"Room was good size and kept clean. Only downside of our stay was the evening bar menu which was limited and if you are staying for a few days could be more varied.For the price charged you would expect a fridge in your room and the safe to be more easily accessible rather than on the floor. Breakfast was excellent and good service."
