"The rooms were nice and clean. The only downside was there was no air conditioning so the room was very hot and we only had a small fan. The spa was lovely , the pool was great."

"Stayed here many many times when working in the area and always find it clean and comfortable.
Unfortunately on this occasion I was disappointed in room (207) as the window would not close and the room faces onto the busy main road which is very noisy.
Also the TV was broken so had no choice but to listen to the boy racers and motorbikes outside instead. Just unlucky it was the last double room available. However that said I'm sure the issues will be rectified by the wonderful staff at Ponty...

"Hotel was convenient, bright and airy, clean, tidy, although has some wear on stairs. Staff very welcoming and friendly. It was surprisingly cool and quiet for the location and season! Amenities may have been 'budget' level, but facilities in room and Reception more than adequate. Shower temperature easily adjusted. 'Continental' cold buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful, and timings wide and convenient. I just might have to visit again, when it suits a journey!"

"The rooms including the en suite facilities are finished to a high standard. Breakfasts were excellent with a wide choice of items available. "We have stayed here before several times but this time was really disappointing. We booked an accessible room but on arrival we were told this wasn't available and we were on the first floor. It was fortunate my operation for a knee replacement was postponed or I wouldn't have managed the stairs (no lift). The first floor room was stifling as it was during the ongoing heatwave. No fan provided.
We went straight to get a cold drink (having driven 200 miles we were parched). Ordered the drinks...

"Parking was a bit of an adventure and it didn't mention that parking was £25 for overnight. Plenty of bars to eat and drink, thought £12 for 2 pepsi was a bit much but it is a fantastic place. Dinner in the grill was exceptionally good and descent price. Breakfast was best £9 each i have ever spent, but book it with booking or it £24 each in hotel. The breakfast had everything you could possible want and every ingredient was of excellent quality. Highly recommend this hotel. We plan to go back...

"My overall assessment on the stay would rate it no more than a three star. There are some minor maintenance issues that need to be looked into. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was very good and the full English was excellent. The idea of filling out what you wanted for breakfast the previous day was not really how I would like it as this might change, I would prefer to decide on the day. Conclusion: The accommodation was a little tired and in need of a spruce up."
