Perhentian doesn’t have any roads so the hotel can arrange water taxis. We did the Redang island trip and the snorkelling trip, both arranged by Arwana and they were both excellent. "I’m giving this hotel 2 stars mainly because of the cleanliness and the overall condition of both the hotel and the room, which felt quite run-down and in need of maintenance. On the positive side, the staff were kind and helpful, and the location is definitely a strong point. However, considering the price we paid (over €100 per night, almost 500 MYR), I don’t feel it offers good value for money. For that reason, I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless improvements are made."
