Nice place to stay on Perhentians, everything you need is available at the Barat, or a small walk to the next beach. The food options were good, really liked the BBQ. Family sea front chalet was nice, airco and fan helped to cool down. View was a bit obstructed by the restaurant terrace.

Great staff working well as a team, happy and receptive while being continually busy Food was consistently good. On one night we had fresh fish and squid barbacue and it was tender and delicious. Loved Boat trip A and also hiring a boat to take us to a lovely beach for snorkelling on other days

What a great place to stay on Perhentian island (Greater)! A real gem. Location is perfect with 3 beaches in walking distance (one right next to the accommodation). We stayed in a seafront view family room and it was amazing waking up to the beautiful view. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfy beds, plenty of pillows, fridge, AC, a big fan on the ceiling. Big screen tv is connected to wifi so we were able to watch some of our favourite programs before bed. Spacious balcony - stepping out of it -> stepping into the restaurant. Staff are super helpful, professional, friendly. We strongly recommend this place. We would definitely come back if we come to East Malaysia again.

Perhentian islands stay

Very basic place to stay but nice and clean. You get free water everyday. The bathroom is very basic, i wasn't expecting 5* so i wasn't disappointed with what we got. Short walk to the beach from the room we had. Trees over head full of fruit bats that screech during the night and early morning but not bad enough to disturb us too much. Overall happy with our stay.

We had the standard chalet and I’m sad to share that the condition was not good and it didn’t match the pictures from the website. The rooms could definitely use some renovation and the cleaning standards are very poor. They also have newly renovated rooms, that unfortunately were not available when we booked and probably are in better shape. The island is very beautiful and 5 min walk from the resort there is a beautiful beach.

Wowza! This was one of the best 5 day asian island resort experiences we've had on our travels. The resort has gone through a full refurbishment in the last couple of years, so we were delighted to see that most of the negative feedback has been listened too and actioned. Do not hesitate to book. All the staff - reception, restaurant, cleaners, concierge, footmen and management - are so friendly, helpful and enjoy a sense of fun, whilst all being totally professional. Our room was clean fresh with clean linens and towels. Sometime it takes an issue to truely rate an experience and we were absoultely blown away at the attentiveness and resolution. It turned our experience from 5 star to 6 star. We will definitely be back!!!

Nice, friendly, easy and clean. We had a nice room 40 steps away from the shoreline.. nice restaurant with fresh fish perfectly grilled and beers available. Staff is just fantastic and very kind.

Although the island is very nice, this hotel is not. We paid for a deluxe room and believe me it wasn’t. The beds are hard, the air conditioning is too strong and hard to control. 3 times per day, the electricity goes off and you have to restart the breaker. The food at the restaurant is pretty much all frozen food so not very good. The beach in front of the hotel is not useable so you have to walk 5 minutes to the other beach which is amazing. The best snorkeling of my life!

The room on the ground floor had a damp smell, I found a big spider and a cockroach, but in the tropics it's normal.. the towels were clean but they didn't dry. The once beautiful structure is in a bit of decay, even if we were customers when we ate both taxes and service were applied to the bill ... The reception staff was not always friendly, when you asked for something it seemed they were doing you a favor. I wouldn't go back and I don't recommend it
