Location is safe and close to restaurants and cafes. The checking was fast and excellent breakfast included. We booked one night with Expedia to pay when we check in and they charged my credit card before we got there. I was a little surprised, but more surprise and then a little upset because they make me pay again when we got there, and the explanation was that the other money was a hold and that was going to be refunded within 3-4 business days. The money was refunded maybe about 5 days later, and this did not affect me at all, but it can be important when you travel with a budget and you have to double pay for your stay. This never happened to me with Expedia in the past, and this was the first hotel of three that I booked with Expedia in this trip, and I booked all of did them with the same pay when stay, and it only happened here. It had nothing to do with money on hold for incidental charges. I'm not sure who policy is this for one night, Expedia or the Hotel, but it is important to note for any future traveler. We did not like the fact, that they give and old big key for the room, that you have to leave at the front desk every time you go out and pick it up when you return no matter what time it is. This is very unusual for this days when you stay in a hotel. We've been in Paris a few times and we all heard about the size of the hotels rooms, but this was smaller than the average. In conclusion in the overall I won't rule out staying here again.

Of course, in the event of disappointment, once you're on site, our reception teams will do their best to offer you an alternative that will satisfy you and help you make the most of your stay. Our larger rooms are designed to provide greater comfort for all our guests during their stay at our hotel.The pre-authorization is not a charge but depending of the bank/card issuer, it could appear as a debit on some bank statements. However, this operation is cancelled on the check-out day and depending of the card issuer, the money appears as available within 3 to 5 business days.Our hotel still uses keys as some others in Paris for safety reasons (can't hack a key for example...) and in order to know each one of our guests during their stay. The key is kept at the hotel to avoid losing it outside, in the city.We apologize for any inconvenience caused during your stay at the Maxim Quartier Latin.Kind regards

Hotel was in a quiet road, but really convenient for the metro and many restaurants. we didn't feel we were in a tourist area. Bedroom was fine, but was rather small. Breakfast was good.

It was my first time staying at Maxim Quartier Latin and I would definitely stay there again. The people at the front desk are very nice, professional and helpful. I needed to iron my pants for the next day and they provided me with an iron and iron table in a few minutes. The room was very clean and comfortable. Very quiet despite the fact that I was by the elevator (had the usual guests coming back a little late but nothing bad) and after that it was very quiet. The breakfast was very enjoyable: the pastries (croissants, pain au chocolat etc...) were fresh and delicious, and there was a lot of choice with for food and drinks. The area is very nice, quiet, close to the subway but you can also walk to a lot of different places. A lot of choice of restaurants in the neighborhood as well. I will definitely go back!

All of the staff was so kind and accommodating. The entire hotel is absolutely beautiful. Only recommendation is for a bit more variety on the breakfast, otherwise it was an incredible stay!

Wonderful place to stay, quiet rooms
This is a wonderful hotel in the Latin District. The staff is great, the rooms are wonderful, we stayed on the top floor, very comfortable, quiet when sleeping. The rooms are dark at night, thank you. The bathroom was clean and had lots of hot water The breakfast was traditional and homemade. If you're looking for a nice place to stay you can't go wrong here.

We arrived at the hotel at 7 minutes to 3pm and were told we could not check in as check in was at 3pm. When we did check in the process seemed to take a long time. We had to call reception to get hot water to our room. The bed was very small and the plumbing pipes were noisy all night. They also requested we leave the key to our room at the hotel when we went out and it would be kept in an unlocked cupboard in the foyer. We did not feel our room would be secure if we did this.

Amazing place to stay in Paris
This hotel is perfectly located in a wonderful part of Paris it is great for wandering aimlessly through. It is right next to a metro station everywhere in Paris as well as quiet market Streets to find amazing food. The staff where very warm and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. We were able to walk to most attractions or jump the metro over. The rooms are small but clean and fresh. If you have lots of luggage it might be a squeeze. But totally excellent location and clean and well priced. We found the area to be super beautiful and safe lots of streets to stroll without throngs of tourists. I have fallen in love with Paris because of this location.

Price to quality ratio is a bit out of balance. Rooms are smaller than advertised. Nevertheless a good place to stay and friendly staff.

The room is very, very small as well as the bathroom. There is no space for your luggage and two standard size adults don’t fit in the bathroom. The bed size double is small too. AC is good in the room but, in the TV there is only one channel in English. The location is great and the employees at the front desk are very helpful. The elevator is a closet an in my opinion the hotel is a little bit over price.

Buon Hotel vicino alla stazione Metro, nel mezzo del vivo quartiere Latino di Parigi. Confortevole, buono lo staff cordiale e disponibile. Buona anche la colazione nel nostro caso inclusa nel prezzo della family room per 4 persone. Qualche area dell'Hotel necessiterebbe qualche upgrade ma nel complesso esperienza positiva

Værelset var meget lille og lille dobbeltseng og desværre kun dobbeltdyne hvilket var lidt kikset da jeg rejse med min dreng på 17, og vi kunne desværre høre elevatoren konstant åbne og lukke. Vi boede i 104. Venligt personale. Pænt hotel. Rengøring hver dag. God morgenmad. Ligger ca 5 km fra Eiffeltårnet og nemt med metro meget tæt på. Hyggeligt område med mange restauranter. Ville bo der igen.
