"The check in staff were friendly and professional. Our room was large but needed updating. The mattress needed replacing and the sofa was very stained. The toilet didn’t flush very well and the shower pressure was weak. The curious kitchen staff were very efficient and friendly especially our waiter Cris from Italy. The food was delicious but the steak was a little tough. Had to order chips, onion rings and sauce as extra so it made the meal very expensive. The prawn cocktail was the best my husband had ever tasted! The fresh milk and water machines in the corridors were a nice touch. The room had a fridge, iron and ironing board. As we booked through Expedia, the use of the spa and pool facilities were £15 per person but we didn’t have time to use these so saved ourselves money using Expedia. The car park was free on the weekend."

"Appreciate it was a Saturday when I arrived but there was no one at the front desk and I waited 20 mins to check in, then waited a while checking in for breakfast in the morning. The room was small and basic and property very old, I didn’t feel the photos reflected it well. It felt like a travel lodge, which would’ve been better value for money. The staff were kind"

"The hotel smelled of humidity. The TV in the room didn't work. I went to change the remote control 4 times. Finally, I asked them to test it in the room to see if it worked. They put the remote control down and left. I went upstairs and the TV still didn't work. Since I can't sleep without a TV, it was important to me. The hotel is definitely not worth the price they are asking. And they are especially asking for extra parking from the customers who have already stayed"
