"Staff at Plantation Resort were excellent. We were very well looked after during our recent 3 night stay. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a beach front room. After check in, we headed out for lunch to one of the many restaurants. When we returned to the room, we had a basket of drinks to fill our fridge and baked goods from the onsite bakery. Room was clean and facilities were excellent. My only criticism is the time for the arrival of food and the small portion sizes for the price. At all the restaurants, it seemed to take a long time (40-60min each time) from ordering. By that point, we were starving and were served very small portions of each dish. We started ordering a side of rice or something extra once we realised this. The resort is very self contained with not much close by for tourists so you will likely no need to leave until check out. "

"I booked this property for an overnight “staycation” with my nephew and his family; we had 3 small children with us; I booked three premier rooms that were well appointed, with our room facing the ocean; the property delivered five-star quality service and ticked all the boxes for a five-star resort-hotel on the island of Mactan; aqua park was a big plus for the kids and the rooftop bar a bonus for the adults; we had a ball swimming, kayaking, dining and drinking cocktails; I highly recommend Solea Resorts considering that accommodation cost is affordable and will not break the bank!"

"First issue was the address it doesn't list the exact location. Then when we arrived the cleaning women was still there but still issues with cleanliness. The one bedroom had a bunch of left condoms and lubricant on top of the cabinet inside the room and all the Air conditioners we're so dirty we had to clean all the filters because they were so full of dust the units could barely function. Then the batteries for the electronic door lock was saying low battery so I called the owner. He asked if I could buy new batteries and replace them and he would refund me later. So I walked to 7 eleven and bought new AA batteries for the lock but after replacing the lock still didn't work so I called again and the owner tried to blame me that I didn't install them correctly and that was the last of it. We ended up leaving after that because of all the issues and staying somewhere else. This is the first and hopefully the last nightmare of a trip I ever experienced with Hotels.com. We travel every week but luckily this is the first time I've had issues like this. This person should be allowed to rent their until anymore with their poor maintenance and cleanliness of the unit they are offering."

"We dine in for lunch since we arrived noon. We order Texas Burger. The burger was good but disappointing because they have beets in the burger. The pepperoni pizza is ok not as good as Landers or Shakeys. Good thing I brought my hair dryer they don’t have one in the room. When I told the staff he said I have to call. No wash rug and hand towel either. They just provide a bath towel. "
