"Extraordinary service and hospitality! Facilities, wine tasting lounge and drum show were unique and enjoyable. Plenty of space for all guests except during drumming show Sunday evenings - Our only frustration was the poor internet service - we had a bit of medical work to handle and could not connect to and maintain connection with internet in our rooms. Our onsen and room was fabulous. "

The traditional royokan rooms were an immersion in the traditional Japanese experience. However the absolute highlights were the authentic Japanese meals served by the most friendly and helpful staff. This stay could be the highlight of your trip."

"I had a wonderful stay with my young teenage daughter. It waas one of our most memorable experiences during our first visit to Japan. "Absolutely stunning property! Might as well be out of a movie or painting. The staff was incredibly hospitable and an impressive number spoke English. We had no trouble reserving a beautiful private onsen for our desired time. Dinner and breakfast are expansive and potentially adventurous for those not accustomed to more traditional Japanese food. Possibly the best place in the world to come meditate and relax. "

"Far away from Shibuya, we traveled over 3 hours via public transportation to get here. We arrived at night, and it was a nice adventure with family. My family really enjoyed the stay as it was immersive. There was a lot of detail to dinner and breakfast. We only stayed for 1 night for the morning prayer, which was an experience in itself. "I booked 2 rooms—one for myself and one for my subordinate. During dinner, we were given a small table to share. I wanted to have some quiet time alone after work, so I moved to an empty table nearby. A Japanese waiter (wearing a vest) came over and spoke very rudely, insisting that I must sit with my subordinate just because we knew each other. He even asked me to carry all my food back. The restaurant had many empty tables, and it was not busy at all during 8pm to 930pm. I felt very embarrassed. I did nothing wrong but was treated badly. This is not how guests should be treated."

"Overall experience were good. Like the onsen, but bed is too hard for us as we nit use to very thin mattress. We have not very pleasure check out experience. The front desk called us three times for the 15 minutes late. Check out time is very stiff at 11:00am sharp. "
