Great location, and beautiful ambience. I would be hesitant to book through Expedia as during my stay, the resort had to turn off their water supply (no shower, no running water). The hotel had our contact information on file, but we did not get any notice. Throughout the day we had to keep calling asking when the water will be back on. We were told that because we booked through a third party, Expedia was told, not us. Expedia never reached out to us.
After a couple of days, I called the hotel to ask for compensation for this inconvenience as I hadn't received any compensation. They told me that Expedia had been proactive and called the hotel asking for permission to refund 1 night stay. I was shocked to hear this as Expedia never reached out to me nor refunded me. So I then had to talk to a customer service representative at Expedia who kept repeating they could not see any history of this phone call between the hotel and Expedia (the hotel told me they have record of this phone call). They did eventually process the refund, but only because I reached out.
This might be expected behavior of Expedia, and because of that, I would caution.
