Intransigent and Unsympathetic
Didn't stay. Whilst we booked and paid at end of February prior to pandemic outbreak, with the changing situation around self isolation on returning to UK and changes to Covid restrictions coming in on a weekly basis, we unfortunatey had to take the decision not to travel. Hotels.Com were great in contacting the hotel to ask about a refund or possibly transferring to next year / vouchers towards rebooking next year but the hotel were intransient. Whilst I understand that we had purchased accomodation on a non-refundable basis, the world changed substantially from the beginning of March. I little more empathy from the hotel would have been nice. Needless to say, when we get to Milan next year, with an increased group, we will not be considering this hotel.
