"What a little gem of a property. Despite being above a pub, and on a through road of the village, it’s very quiet. Wonderfully clean, and the self serve continental breakfast buffet is well stocked. Great place."

"The Devonshire arms in baslow was a very quaint and beautifully decorated in for us to stay. It encapsulated the English countryside vibe that we were going for. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food in both the restaurant and pub area was excellent. We absolutely loved being there, and glad we were there for three nights. "Take yourself back in time to an era we all want to recreate away from this troubling world. I was hoping for a spitfire to zoom overhead at anytime. A beautiful location within the Chatsworth estate in old style properties with plenty of character. Just a few steps away is a lovely local pub The Beeley Inn serving delicious food (the ox cheek is to die for,) agreeably it’s not cheap but you get what you pay for. Ideal for a special treat."

"Lovely staff through out - reception/bar and kitchen. The food is tasty and portions are generous - the XL BBQ ribs are actually XL! The rooms are clean and spacious with a will sought out lay out. While the link to the rooms from the bar could do with some refresh, the facilities in the room are great. My room.had a view of Riber Castle, it was lovely making the connection on my hike. I enjoyed my stay."
