Room was basic but clean.
Staff were very apologetic, but we had booked for evening meal and most f the menu as available. They said suppliers had let thff er m down, but with the a number f guests dining and all pre booked, this was not acceptable.
They list trade as guests cancelled breakfast and meal the next day.
This place is a little bit tucked away but definitely worth it. The room was great, the bed was really comfy, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only slight complaint would be that the temperature of the shower was a bit unpredictable but not too badly. A friend came to meet me for dinner and commented on how good the food was and how nice the place was. If you've got a car, it's really convenient for Bakewell, Chatsworth and a bunch of hikes in the Peaks.
Lovely hotel/pub set in the middle of the Peak District. The room was very clean and modern, with a good selection of toiletries, plus tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were very friendly, (as were the locals)and helpful. A very enjoyable stay.

The hotel room is spacious. Not accessible and the old hotel building doesn't have a lift, but staff can help with luggage. Good water pressure in the toilets.
We have just had a two night stay here in a superior double room and it was just what we needed. A nice, clean and comfortable room at a lovely pub. Staff were all amazing. We'll definitely consider it again if we're staying that way.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Nice area with good restaurants. Sadly the water temperature for shower doesn’t really work and the room smell really damp
Gorgeous from the moment we arrived.
Our dogs were fussed, the staff were so friendly.
We enjoyed our cooked breakfast so much aswell.
A really lovely location … will definitely be back!
Fabulous staff, very friendly, polite and helpful. Would like 2 chairs in the room and a hook for the hand towel would save you throwing it over the shower screen.

This was perfectly adequate in terms of the accommodation, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We do feel, however, that the pub is rather tired and ‘run down’, and would benefit from some investment. The towels were small and thin, the pillows were worn, and the en suite is in need of a few minor repairs. Food was quite good (better on our second night, which was a Saturday). Access to the bedrooms is round the back of the pub, via a fairly steep set of outside stairs - however, staff did help us to carry our luggage in when requested (we are in our late seventies). Overall, we felt it was over-priced in comparison to other similar country pubs in which we stayed on our trip.
Our room was very comfortable and nicely furnished, big walk in shower. Friendly staff but could have dressed a bit smarter.
On the downside, our room was at front of property and the road is really noisy. As it was so hot, we had to have windows open.
Good cooked breakfast to order, average bar snack in the eve.
My husband and I stayed for 1 night at The Moon Inn.
We found the whole stay from checking in right through to checking out was fantastic.
The room and bathroom, we stayed in was clean, very spacious and lovely decorated.
The room was very warm and the bed was very comfy.
Breakfast was lovely.
We would definitely recommend The Moon Inn and would not hesitate to return
