Me and my wife decided to check out on the same day we checked in as we were so disappointed. First of all, there was no bath towel provided or ready in our room that we had to call the receptionist to request for it. Secondly, the toilet bowl was blocked. And thirdly the last, we’ve seen a lot of baby cockcroaches running around the floor and in the toilet sink! We complaint about it and we were offered another room. But before we move to another room, we decided to check it first and to our dismay, worst than the first one. As we opened the door, big cockcroaches approached us. We wouldn’t recommend this one.

Please remove this hotel from Expedia. The toilets where clogged everyday. Had to call maintenance every day. Everything was an extra charge. They did not clean rooms completely. Airconditioning was not able to cool room effectively. WiFi service was unreliable. Both in room and main lobby. The only thing that worked well was the super tiny tv. I was super disappointed. Even free breakfast included was sub standard. Just to get print outs of documents like flight schedule was 20php per page.

Hotel was good , we only had a problem with the room we reserved not smoking and they give us a smoking room :( the local area is not the best but that was our own fault do not do our job in researching before reserving. For the rest it was good.

Be afraid, be very afraid.
This was in the middle of an Ermita, Manila ghetto. Once you check in if uou must stay in the hotel. Children and families sleeping in the rain 30 feet from the entrance. Beggars everywhere. Young teenage Muslim mothers holding babies on the streets edge asking for pesos. Men urinating on nearby buildings with no regard. The staff were pleasant but the facility was worn and tired looking. I was there from 8pm until 630am. So I toughed it out. BAD CALL! If at all possible avoid this area. Usually I stay at the Marriot by the airport or Herirage Hotel near Mall of Asia but both were full. I have also stayed in a budget hotel fairly close to the airport and Mall of Asia called Aseana City Red Planet which I was new, well maintained but very small rooms. I would have much prefered that property. Also the Golden Phonix Hotel was another hotel I liked in Aseana City but everything was booked that night. In hindsight I would have rather been awake at the airport for the 10 hours instead of being at Vieve Hotel again. There should be a disclaimer mentioning the filth, poverty and the area surrounding the facility.

Centrally locates for holiday .
Two blocks away from board walk. Lots of night life around 20 min walk. We walked at 3:00 am with no problem. Kind of close to red zone so be careful with environment. Al were very respectful and no unwanted solicitation except for baggers- a common sight in Manila. Local Place called Cowboy Grill was good entertainment till 2:00 am+

Great hotel
I love the cleanliness of the room. It's spacious and comfortable. The pillows are so soft and were generously provided. There was a small refrigerator and kettle which made our stay even more comfortable. There were a lot of shelves to put our things by. Location is great. Near Robinson's mall and a lot more restaurants and convenience stores. The staff were very polite and friendly. Food was superb. I love Vieve Hotel ❤️

Ive stayed at hotel vieve a few times. The first 2X the room amenities such as the air conditioner and refrigerator worked and clean rooms. These past 2X were sirty to the naked eye. So much so that baby cockroaches roamed freely everywhere in the bathroom, room vanity desk, floor and beds. I was on the 4th floor. The 3rd floor the last stay the outside of the bathroom had stagnant water on the side of the building, only discoverable upon opening the bathroom window. Living in the Philippines on and off for 4 years on and off, and staying in condos on the second floor, I have never had coackroach problems. Never in the 4 years have I seen coackroaches in any place I've stayed at. Until these past 2 visits at hotel vieve. The staff are accommodating and will assist you with needs they could meet. I asked for raid cockroach spray and that seemed to only fumigate toxic fumes throughout the room and did not resolve to dissipate the cockroach problem. I left the room to allow fumes to clear only to return to the roaches all over my purse, on top of the vanity desk. Careful w/ the safety deposit box. Some rooms works and others die. Take precaution in leaving belongings inside of the safety box in your room only because the battery may need changing and therefor would leave your important belongings unable for you to retrieve. Let the staff know when you'd like the room cleaned. Free breakfast is between8-10:30am & lunch 11:30-2pm. Beware of costly room minibar items used.

Best hotel we have stayed in that area within that price range. Friendly staff, 1 st hotel I have ever stayed in with any price range where if you miss breakfast, you can have a free lunch instead. Room was a little on the small side but perfectly adequate as a base to do other things in the area. Internet was good (unusual at the best of times in Manila), staff very helpful, very convenient location for World Trade Center (reason we were in Manila), Taxi only 10 mins, Robinson's Mall, restaurants, bars and nightlife. 2 minute walk from Pan Pacific Hotel where you pay $150 a room and this was about $35. Will certainly choose again after trying a few other lower budget hotels in the area that I would not be returning to.

Room is stingy and dirty
Although the location is nice but the room is old and not clean. I booked a non smoking room but it turned out that the room has cigarette smell. Also the bedding a are dirty and I saw a cockroach in my room. Not a good experience!

We weren't able to locate the hotel right away so we had to walk around the area to find it. When we got there, we were satisfied with the service of their staff and how clean our room was. The only thing we didn't like was the smell of cigarette smoke while we wait for the elevators.

Walking distance to Robinson Mall, shops and banks
The stay was ok however I am surprised they do not have a non smoking floor. When I entered the room, the smell is very strong. Room was ok but I am frazzled that they do count whatever is inside the bar fridge. I have never encountered such thing before. Staffs were good. Only concern is I tried to check in earlier as I arrived 3am in NAIA and put a note on that when I booked the hotel but wasn't able to accommodate. I went to hotel at 9am but I only managed to check in at 3pm. I think the management should consider special request as it is definitely unavoidable for frequent travellers to arrive early before check in.
