"It was such a delight to stay in this beautifully restored house in the UNESCO Heritage area. The staff were great, especially Ms Anna Hoon, who helped us with a strange booking glitch. Taking a small dip in the pool was welcome and refreshing after a day of seeing the sights and spotting the street art. I can thoroughly recommend The Blue Mansion."

"The staff are the main asset at this hotel. We got our first room and there was a strong chemical smell in the room and across the full floor. We managed to move to a different floor and it was much better. In general the hotel is nice however there are quite a few tired areas. I would avoid breakfast - there is a local bakery nearby, we went here instead. It was advertised as 2 pools which is true however depending on your booking and side of the hotel you are staying in will dictate which pool you can use. Something that was not clear to us at booking or at check in. "

"Moldy toilets, beds too soft, pillow nearly non-existent. No phone to call the desk in the room. Breakfast area looks dirty, no aircon. Remote is spoilt. Walls cracking everywhere. No noise insulation. Near to mosque and u can hear the calls early till late at night."
