"CTY Books is in the perfect spot in Leiden, with a market just outside twice a week. Lots of amazing pubs/restaurants around too! The room was lovely (we had the loft) with a perfect view of the canal! "
"Right on the canal up from the old city but close to train station, too, the hotel is perfectly located. Great vibe to the lobby and pub on site. Nice rooms. And great pubs and restaurants right outside the door. "

Merenwijk is well liked for its golf courses. If you'd like to do some sightseeing in the greater Leiden area, you might plan a trip to Leiden Bio Science Park or National Museum of Ethnology.
See the famous Girl with the Pearl Earring as well as numerous other masterpieces by Vermeer, Rembrandt and other Dutch painters in this exceptional art museum.
Lovely city - all the charm of Amsterdam but without the craziness. We've been several times and it's wonderful. The beach isn't too far and worth a trip on a warm day. Delft and Den Haag are just a short train ride away and we'll worth a trip too.

The Burcht is one of my favorite places to chill. Sophies Cat Cafe is a nice experience. No smoking inside coffeeshops in Leiden like in Amsterdam or the Hague.

This is a great town which seems to be overlooked on the tourist destination map of the Netherlands. Plan on spending at least an afternoon wandering the streets and canals. They also have a great hospital within walking distance of the hotel.

Leiden was a very pleasant surprise! It's got all the best parts of Amsterdam without the crowds. Great jumping off point for touring other parts of Holland.

It is my Alma mater, a fabulous place to visit, so much to see and do.
"While checking in at the hotel, I mentioned to the young lady that I had not been able to check in for my flight the next morning. She happily walked me through the procedure, even using her phone at times to help me check in. This took time, and she did not have to offer, but she did. This showed the warmness of the staff.
The Radisson Blu is a gorgeous hotel. The lobby, the restaurants, and the rooms have a great vibe. It is evident that the staff works hard to keep the hotel exceptionally clean and modern. It is a great bargain for the money. We loved our short visit."
