"This was a beautiful property. Everything was clean, updated, and easy to find. The host left a very helpful instructional booklet describing how to use all of the amenities, and even instructions on how to best prepare the food. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would love to stay here again!!"

"Wonderful Stay in Hakone!
The property is in a super convenient location, just a short walk to Hakone Yumoto shopping street, with two convenience stores nearby. There’s also a parking space available. The property itself is new, clean, and well-organized, with a cozy modern Japanese design that makes you feel instantly relaxed. Facilities are excellent, including a Dyson hairdryer and a Bruno hot pot cooker. If you’d like to have a BBQ, just let the host know in advance. The host is very...

"It's small and a little aged but right in the center of hiratsuka and walking distance to a lot of things. Perfect for someone coming for the tanabata like me. Fair warning, ever bed in Japan I've been on so far (4) is hard as a rock."

"Very old traditional Ryokan. Beautiful garden/riverside views. We did not realize that there are no private baths - that was a big surprise but we were only there one night so it wasn't that problematic. Staff were very accommodating and Google Translate made communication very easy."

"This place is excellent! Has everything and anything you wanted. The room is spacious and has your own onsen and steam room! The hotel is new so everything is spotless! The welcoming drinks and snacks are a nice touch! The only down side is the check in process could be easier!"
"A beautiful stay and wonderful onsen- we opted for a private onsen thankfully as we were never able to get into one of the three private public onsens on site over the course of two days.
Note that the area is stunning and very hilly- local restaurants etc close very early and/or have odd days they are open if you venture out. "
"The onsen was fantastic both public and private in the room. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless and we'll appointed. Superior location in beautiful setting"
"The staff are top notch, and the hotel is right near the Hakone Yumoto line with multiple options for travel that use the Hakone Free Pass. There are many restaurants near. Bathroom was a little dated, but everything was immaculate. Would recommend. "
"Musashino Bekkan is a truly amazing place! As soon as you walk in the front door, you know you’re going to have an authentic, Japanese experience. The lobby and rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and their shuttle was very convenient. If you are at the train station, they offer to pick you up whenever you are ready to return to your room. Our dinner and service was amazing. The food presentation was spectacular! The areas around the property allows for scenic, relaxing walks. The baths were also very clean and comfortable. I would strongly recommend Musashino Bekkan if you are staying in Hakone. "
