"We had a balcony but it would have been nice to sit out but no chairs also no wedge to keep the door open. The privacy curtain was slightly stained and needed cleaning. It took us five days before we noticed there was no tv! All the staff were great and so helpful with booking restaurants and taxis. We enjoyed the reasonably priced western breakfast."

"This was a perfect place to experience Japan. It had traditional Japanese accomodations and food but also with many high tech conveniences. The staff was very helpful in getting us taxis to easily visit locations like the imperial palace or the Bamboo Forest. "The room was spacious with 2 individual beds and a bunk bed for the kids, small kitchenette and efficient bathroom. The hotel offers a wide variety of amenities and loaner items in case you forgot something. The hotel is located within 10 minutes from. Nijo castle and a subway station. Bus 29 stops in front of Nijo castle and takes you to Kinkaku-ji temple. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Instructions unclear about accessing property. We took a cab from kyoto station to the property where we had no access to enter. Apparently you need to go to an office near kyoto station before you are allowed into the property. Once there the staff did coordinate travel to the property. The property location was nice with many restaurants and shops with a 15-20 minute walk. Property was very nice with clothes washer and a way to dry the clothes as well as Instructions for how everything worked...

"The lounge is great with free snacks and drinks and games. The breakfast was also quite good. The staff was nice as well. Our room didn't have a view, but was spacious with a nice bathroom. It's a ten minute drive from the train station, lots of good restaurants close by."

"This was one of my best experiences traveling to Kyoto. The staff at check-in were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy. All the amenities were conveniently located, and we easily found everything we needed. We were traveling with our 1-year-old child, and having an entire house to ourselves—including space to store a stroller, a tatami room, and a proper bathroom—made our trip especially comfortable and enjoyable."
