"It was our family’s first time staying at a machiya. It was an easy place to find upon arrival in Kyoto. The house was lovely. The tea ceremony at check-in along with the Japanese sweets were much appreciated. They were able to help us arrange for delivery of our luggage onwards to our next city. "My family LOVED this property. We had 2 bedrooms and SO MUCH ROOM. This was our 3rd stop on our trip and by far the absolute best. The morning coffee, the nightly sake and beer on tap was divine after a long day of getting around town. The location was fabulous!"

"We didn't get to stay here long but it was a very pleasant stay. We got one of the suites and it was well worth it. The kids had their own room and it was nice to spread out. They had a washwr and dryer with detergent provided. The free water, coffee and drinks were very nice touch. Would come back again. "

"We love our stay at this place, Almost perfect The room was clean and as expected a bit small but LARGE for Japan . The only thing that I would change is Chairs and table to stay in the room are extra from my POV I would have remove a chair and a table and just leave the night stand and a chair to have a bit more of room for luggage But Everything was just perfect "
