"The Hotel Fujiyama was a real treat. A large, stately hotel for the ages, just oozing with charm. Gardens, lounge area and dining areas were delightful. Gym and pool were well equipped, new and clean. The on-site Onsen was absolutely fantastic. Overall, a tranquil and relaxing stay, which completely transported us."

"If you are wanting the best Ryokqn experience, stay here. Private dining is such a lovely experience. Loved the Yukata and pajamas that were provided. I stayed in a terrace room with private onsen and it was truly one of the most amazing experiences. It was only two Nights but I didnโt want to leave. I still feel the peacefulness from my stay and canโt wait to go back and tell all my friends about this Ryokan. They have private shuttle which I took the open air museum. Hakone and Gora is a beautiful area. I didnโt want to leave."

"The hรดtel is wonderful! Every detail has been carefully considered and crafted using high-quality materials. The lounge, with snacks and drinks, adds to the hotel experience. Unfortunately, the dining room left us with mixed feelings regarding the dining experience. We made requests that were not honored. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, the staff's attitude changed, and our dining room experience became unpleasant. It's a real shame because, although the hotel is extraordinary, I would hesitate to book again."

Toyoko Inn Odawara Station

"The buffet breakfast here was exceptional. Japanese cuisine rotated daily so you get to try a wide variety of food and be perfectly setup for the day. Most days spent here we were fine until dinner because of how filling the breakfast was. They had a fairly large staff cooking and keeping things clean. I only wish I could have expressed just how amazing the food was. The property was nice, though they do not have cool air in the upstairs halls or elevators. But, thatโs not unusual. Same for cleaning rooms, they turn off unattended air. Just be prepared, this is also fairly normal. Check in procedure was simply providing passports for scan. Check out was an automated machine where each room key went and an employee was very helpful to streamline the process. Odawara was my first stop on my first trip to Japan. It is a nice place on its own with plenty of charm and makes Mount Fuji and Hakone very accessible. Itโs a Shinkansen stop as well. So getting to Tokyo was 33 min. This hotel is a few blocks from the station on the main road in front of the East exit of the station. The street here is made up on one side to be reminiscent of older Japan towns. If you crave a smaller city experience and need access to other areas, this is a good spot. Plus thereโs Odawara Castle a couple blocks away. Very walkable."
