"We think the breakfast is okay. In the past, barista coffee was included but not in this trip. But the brewed coffee is so good. We didn't like the way they cooked the sunny side eggs because they tasted "plastic - ky" and the scrambled eggs looked dry. But on the brighter side, we thoroughly enjoyed dinner at the Wakatipu Drill - loved the prawns, fried chicken and salmon. Love the pool, spa but disappointed that the steam room was not working. Fabulous stay."

"Positives: Great location and easy walk to wharf area, restaurants and shops. Big comfortable beds. Cons: Booked balcony mountain view room but room was at end of hallway and was mainly overlooking large roof space and aircon units with offices across the street. Could only see mountains in background if you out on the balcony and looked left or right. Unfortunately would not be sitting on the balcony to enjoy that view - very disappointing. Had better views on our other accomodations around the South Island"

"I have been to many accomodations establishments and La Quinta would have to be at the top of the list for value for the amenities on offer. Very clean, all the cooking facilities, dishwasher, 7kg washing machine, clothes dryer, large screen television and a proper two door refrigerator. We booked through Expedia so we were entitled to a free drink and snack. Staff are very friendly and helpful and are willing to go the extra mile to make your stay a pleasant one. The property is in close proximity to the airport and rental car companies which was another great feature."
