"From the photos of the rooms I had seen, I was prepared for a rather boring, average room, so I was very pleasantly surprised when the room turned out to be very stylish and charming. The fabrics were of lovely and of good quality and there were antiques as well as modern touches. The bathroom was spacious and had really nice granite and large porcelain tile. "We had a 2 night stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. Faultless service from the staff in all areas and particularly the restaurant. Spa area and all 3 pools are spotless, just enough loungers, more than enough towels and shade - and on a hot day a beautiful place to chill out after exploring Bath. Bar lounge menus and main restaurant menu are good value, food is excellent."

"We loved the older Country Club charm. It was beautiful to look out at the water from our room and walk to the castle ruins. The dining is charming as well! Great spot for quietness. We will come back!"
