"Simply the hotel was superb - the rooms are larger than you would generally get in Japan and the quality of the fittings and cleanliness was top rate. We enjoyed the 'rain' shower - probably the best that we experienced in any hotel. The rooms were cleaned and tidied everyday - if I had a small complaint, there wasnt any closet space only a rail with a few coat hangers. The bed was very comfortable and the room had blackout curtains - and well the toilet is to die for - I need one of these at...

"This is a no frills hotel, but we really enjoyed our stay. You can hear if you have a heavy walking upstairs neighbor, but throughout the night it was pretty quiet. There are great laundry facilities onsite that were super easy to use and you don’t have to buy detergent. You just download an app and pay and monitor progress through the app—it was great! "

"This hotel is centrally located as the bus is across the street as well as Nijo Castle. Mornings you could walk the perimeter. Nearby local type shops like a coffee shop to eat, noodle spot, konbini, and can walk to Nishiki Market. Along the way to Nishiki, there will be local restaurants to eat so you can dodge the touristy types if u want. Staff are extremely helpful. Luggage travel service was great. Used the laundry service to save time. It was well done as well as each day our room...
