"Great location to all the main attractions. Only a few blocks from the Empire State Building. It’s about 30 minute walk north to Central Park and about the same south to Wall Street. Three different Subway lines with in a couple of blocks walk making the rest of the city easily accessible. Staff were very welcoming, polite and helpful. Over all condition of the hotel was nice. The room did need a little bit of maintenance; a bulb out in the bathroom and loose door handle. But the over all cleanliness was good. Bed was big and the mattress was soft but did sag a little in the middle but this didn’t really detract from the over all comfort. Mini fridge in the room was useful to store water bottles and other perishable items. The room also came with a hair dry which was also useful. Over all the stay was good and I would definitely stay there again. "

"We had a twin double bed room with a mini sette. It was great as a family of 3 adults and one child. Lots of places to charge our devices and plenty of counter space for the abundance of snacks that we ended up buying in the town centre. Staff were extremely warm and polite. One helped carry my nephew down the lift and into the lobby as he wasn’t feeling well. We didn’t eat at the hotel as we wanted to venture out into the food scene in New York City. But we did use the market downstairs as we were allocated a daily allowance of $15 to use there. But overall, excellent cleanliness and staff. Only regret is not being able to go to the fitness centre as I was tired all day of exploring the city high and low. But it looked great upon first views. "

"the staff here is probably the most unfriendly in NY. The guys manning the front desk in the evening as well as the security personnel need a re-fresh in what it means to make guests feel welcome. the room is in need of a serious refresh and the carpets a deep clean, but thats easy enough to overlook for the price and location. It s the staff behaving like thugs that really makes this a hotel to absolutly skip. "

"Clean rooms, staff was always friendly and courteous, express checkout is always a breeze, room service was quick. Only downside was the amount of time you have to wait for and little space inside elevators. There are 3 elevators, but basically only 2 work all the time as one is used also for service and they have to serve 40+ floors taking too much time sometimes to leave or get into your room. Besides this minor inconvenience, our time at this hotel was great and the location was ideal as it is close to several Subway stations. There is also a nice restaurant next to its entrance. "

"I stayed here March 2026 + when I was coming back in April, I already knew I would book the same hotel. The location was perfect to get to different areas of the city. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean + I couldn’t ask for more. Will def book again when we are back in NY!"

"The location and price for Soho54 were/are both great - near NYU is ideal for our purposes. The room was clean, the shower was great. It could probably use a bit of love -- the paint and carpet look a bit tired, our door took an extra pull to get it shut, but we just wanted a clean place to shower and sleep and Soho54 fit the bill perfectly. One thing I absolutely hate (and this is not unique to S54), you see the price including all taxes and assume that's it -- then on check in you get the 'resort fee' or 'amenity fee' or whatever they call it - an extra charge for the exercise room in the dungeon and the coffee machine in the room. Really? At $40/night, should have new coffee machines and exercise equipment every week! I hate sneaky fees, and 'amenity fees' are exactly that."
