Es un hotel pequeño sin grandes lujos pero con habitaciones cómodas. El desayuno es sencillo pero suficiente con productos de buena calidad. Tiene una inmejorable ubicacion, muy cerca caminando a todas las principales atracciones de la ciudad y de estación de tranvias. Barrio muy lindo, tranquilo y muy seguro. Su dueño, Mehmet nos ayudó mucho para poder entender como movernos, como llegar a todos lados y lugares que valían la pena visitar. RamT.

we had a beautiful stay at the Sultan Mehmed hotel. Mehmet, and the rest of the staff made sure our stay is comfortable. Mehmet was generous with ideas of where to go and where to eat. He was always available to offer assistance and show us on the map the best way to reach places. (and also supplied us with a public transportation card). His restaurant recommendations were good. He stayed up late every night till we returned and woke up with us at 5 am when we were departing. The room was clean and was tended to every day. Breakfast was nice and was served by two lovely girls. Tea and coffee are available at the lobby all day. The location of the hotel is excellent. We returned every afternoon to rest and recuperate and then went out again. Mehmet is fluent in English which made our stay ten times better. Would whole heartedly recommend this hotel.

This was our first trip to Turkey, it was amazing, the hotel staff was great, always helping us on any concern, two young ladies serving a superb breakfast to begin the day. The manager showed us the best places to go to, excelent customer service. I loved my stay at Sultan Mehmed. I had a small but comfortable room with a great shower. Breakfast was a feast of cold cuts, cheese, fruits, breads and eggs cooked to your preference and served by 2 delightful girls who couldn’t do enough for you. The hotel is a 5 minute stroll from both the Blue Mosque and Agia Sophia, the tram stop and various reasonable eateries. Mehmed, the owner, is a mine of useful and interesting information and it was a pleasure to be in his company. I would return to this comfortable and welcoming hotel in a heartbeat.

I had a wonderful experience at the Sultan Mehmed hotel. The moment I checked in, Mehmet was there to give me amazing feedback and information about my stay and sites to visit. Throughout the whole time there, Mehmet and the staff went out their way to make my time accommodating. The hotel is conveniently located in the Sultanahmet district, where many of Istanbul’s major attractions are. I highly recommend booking a stay at this hotel. The great hospitality and experience will want me to come back in the future.

It is a very small hotel that is well maintained. The location is just perfect in the Sultanahmed area. Mehmet has a strong dedication to his hotel and is very helpful with all kind of recommendations. The rooms have a nice size, beds are confortable. The breakfast is delicious.

Best place in Instanbul to stay
We had this site for a 3 day layover - been to Instanbul several times already and was looking for a 3 day rest and to see what the locals do - which we did with the help of the manager - fantastic is not strong enough - he even loaned us his metro card for the subway - he had spent several years in the USA in Austin, TX and Santa Barbara CA - so english was perfect and he knows US politics - made for great morning conversations - did I mention they make you a custom breakfast every morning - room was great - could see the spire of the Blue Masque and was only 5 minutes literally away - super safe - and next time we go back next year will spend at least a week at this hotel.

The hotel is in my opinion the best location, easy to travel every where with the old bazaar only 10mins walks and the tram only 5 min walk. The staff were amazing and the owner gave use such a great time recommending some very nice places to visit and shop. We will miss the breakfast which was lovely, all the staff went above and beyond.

Hotel is very near to blue mosque 3 to 5 minutes walk only so you can imagine how near you are to everything else the rooms are very clean and comfortable the bed is excellent you will definitely get good sleep the bathroom has all you need good power shower the breakfast is good cooked freshly on order best of all is the staff and owner make you feel relaxed

The hotel is not that big but the management and staff they are very helpful informing us about every thing around Istanbul where to go help us book our trips around the city show us where to eat buy gifts. A very nice hotel. I like that it is small, at a great location at the heart of the historic part of town, walking distance to all the landmarks. The owner and the staff are super nice and helpfull, providing tourist information. The place is clean, fresh and nice. I highly recommend it and certainly will stay there again on my return for a longer visit.

The perfect choice in Istanbul
We had a very warm welcome from Mehmet and his staff. The hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel right in the centre of the old town, close to attractions, restaurants, and more. Breakfast was wonderful with a big selection of items. Mehmet helped plan our entire stay with suggestions.

Lovely small hotel in a great location. Near to many tourist attractions in Sultanahmet but a relatively quiet part A well maintained and clean hotel. Good value for money. Very friendly manager and staff. Nice breakfast and complimentary hot drinks all day. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to others.

I chose Sultan Mehmed solely on the ratings and what previous guests had said, and I was very happy that I did. It is the perfect small hotel in a relatively quiet location, but near everything you might want to see. It is updated, spotless, has a delicious breakfast, and most importantly, the best staff you could hope for. As all of the other reviews attest to, the friendliness of the staff, from check-in, to service at breakfast, housekeeping, etc.--all are magnificent. Mehmet will make you feel as though you have your own personal tour guide, one who can detect your likes and dislikes. He will steer you in a certain direction one day, another direction the next day, but it is always what you are looking for and wanting to see, whether you know it or not. That is quite a feat in a city of 15 million+. I would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Sultan Mehmed again.

This hotel was amazing in it's offerings. The location was great, and it gets full marks in overall cleanliness and service but what makes it extra amazing was the attitude of both the owner and manager. They were very helpful and friendly and helped us make fantastic decisions for our road trip later. With their positive friendly nature and literally no issues in service, it pretty much felt like staying over at a friend's house! The manager Ali had become such a friendly face for our daughter that she renamed the place as Party Hotel! Both Mehmed and Ali were amongst the most genuinely helpful and friendly people in our stay in Turkey and we did stay in a number of other cities and hotels. All in all, 10 outta 10!
