"the property is very underwhelming in all aspects...I normally stay at the EDITION and I decided to try something new.. big mistake. There is a small lobby, the ceilings are very low and it seems u r in a tunnel. the rooms are good.. even if I choose a suite ocean vista and didn't say that was a partial view anywhere in the add, quite disappointing. "Ocean visible from room, balcony was awesome, a hint of mildew when the AC was running, clean, housekeeping friendly and helpful, pool area lovely, nice bar. Hotel was very cold, could not turnup the heat on the thermostat. Bring sweatshirts and jackets for the hotel stay. Restaurant dinner menu mediocre at best, very very slow, expensive for quality of food and service. The coffee/pastry shop was the best food and value. "

"The only highlight of this hotel was the staff. The girls at the front desk were really nice to us and try to accommodate despite the terrible condition of our hotel room. The hotel is under renovations so the café and the pool bar everything is closed and under construction. There was drilling going on outside on the roof by our window. They switched us to another room . Then the air conditioner in the new room was leaking . Our entire carpet was wet and smelled and when they tried to move us into a second room , then we saw that room the air conditioner was also leaking. Also the hotel overall is giving old Miami, but it is in terrible condition. We came here just for a few days to be close to a wedding that was happening in South Beach. I will never stay here again and do yourself a favor always contact the property and ask them if it’s under renovation or any type of construction because they failed to mention that when we booked or when we confirmed our reservation. Good thing the manager and the host at the front desk was nice enough to try to move us to another room and gave us a complementary one night because otherwise this hotel property is not worth more than $40 a day and we were supposed to pay $150 per day. terrible do not stay here!!! The hotel owners do not want to list this place as under construction! The place looks nothing like the pictures !! This is a warning to everyone, do not stay here! "

"The room was disgusting. Bathroom was not cleaned had unused shampoo tube, stuff was in the toilet and hair in the bathtub. Bed linens were unclean and bed mattress sank to the bottom. I'm very disappointed that Expedia is acting as an agent for this hotel. "

"I was very disappointed with my recent stay at the Fontainebleau. The condition of the room fell far below expectations for a hotel of this reputation and price point. Upon arrival, the room was noticeably unclean, with dirty carpeting and an overall lack of proper housekeeping standards. Additionally, several fixtures were outdated or not functioning properly, including broken light fixtures and a malfunctioning door key reader, which created unnecessary inconvenience. Equally concerning was the level of service. Interactions with staff were consistently unprofessional and, at times, outright rude, which only compounded the negative experience. Overall, this stay did not meet even basic expectations for cleanliness, maintenance, or customer service. I would not recommend this property based on my experience."
