"It was clean. Very outdated, no microwave in the room only in the basement which was a bit creepy, the laundry room is also there. We spent close to $200 on the breakfast buffet and it’s literally like the free breakfasts they give at other hotels. Pool was small and outdated. I love the chill area behind the pool with games. "

"Just finished a 4 night stay in a queen one bedroom suite. Clean room with pleanty of towels, comfy bed, kitchen with everthing i needed.(could use handtowels or papertowels) 2 tvs work, hot water all times of the day. 2 ac units work wonderfully. Safe that worked. Absolutely no bugs! Didnt see a phone. No shuttle to and from airport. You can visit 5 other hotels pools(pool hoping) i only went to 3 and they were rooftop pools. Catalina has a poolside bar. Nice terrace outside of rooms with string lights. Beach is a 3-5min walk. Free trolly on corner of 24th and collins. Liqour store on same corner. Beach towels at front desk and sometimes at the pool. Sun tanning lotion station at pool! No problem with seating at the pool. We used insta cart for food and used the free trolley to get around. Sometimes we walked because the trolleys would fall behind 20 mins or so. We are budget travelers and feel this place was definitely worth the money. You may want to know there is a daily resort fee that you will pay at the hotel if booking with expedia. ( not sure of booking straight through the hotel) A fellow traveler was not happy to learn that at check in. Happy Traveling!"

"The room is clean, the staffs cleaned my room everyday. Amenities is poor. Even I asked for a cup of hot water they said they didn’t have. First day I checked in, I couldn’t open the safer, I asked for the service, the staff came and removed it but didn’t supply another one. I reminded to receptionists twice. Everyone had different excuses!"

"Pros: Great location! 20m from airport, 2 blocks from the beach, restaurants nearby, public parking lot on 23rd st.- $20 for 24hrs, good sized room with balcony! Free morning coffee, friendly staff. Cons: No cleanliness supervision. Bathroom was not cleaned. Lumps of hair in the shower, used razon and chewed gum on the window sill. Thankfully I always travel with flip flops to shower and clorox wipes fot the toilet seat. Such a shame. They need ro invest on cleanliness and rooms reresh. At least the towels and sheets smelled like clorox and also looked clean. Overall good bang for your buck if you're ok with the above mentioned posibilities."
