I booked this hotel last minute in order to attend a sports event and, due to the time pressure, I did not realize the reservation was for a shared room until I arrived at the hotel. Once I became aware of this, I immediately asked if I could change to a private room and pay the difference. I was not asking for a refund to stay elsewhere or to cancel my stay—I simply wanted to continue my stay at the same hotel in a private room. Unfortunately, this request was denied, which I felt was unreasonable given that I was still willing to give the hotel my business.
Additionally, the hotel advertises free Wi-Fi, but the Wi-Fi was not working for the entirety of my stay. This further impacted my experience and did not match what was advertised.
Overall, I feel that the situation was not handled fairly, and the stay did not meet the expectations set by the hotel’s listing.
