"The Grace was a lovely historical place to stay. Comfy bed & good room, very handy to everything in the middle of the city. Only downside is no Foxtel TV. Would definitely stay there again."

"Excellent location, short walk to Darling harbour/ Barangaroo and to the city. No swimming pool. Good buffet breakfast facilities, excellent bar on roof top looking out over the harbour and surrounds, but pricey $$. Bed was quite hard, shower had good pressure. Room was very quiet on city side of the hotel. Found all staff pleasant and helpful."

"Room cleanliness was sub-par for a hotel of this calibre. I’ve had numerous black hair in the shower and several areas had a serious dust accumulation. "

"The booking in at the front desk was very good, as our room was not ready the staff looked for another room that was and all was good. Bags were delivered within 10 minutes. The room wasn't vacuumed properly or at all during our short stay the bed was comfortable but seemed like it was just tidied up rather than made properly. A note was left on the bed requesting another blanket was not in the room when we returned, rang housekeeping to request it again reminding them about the note 3hours later still nothing. I Put a call into reception and explained it all to them and within 10 minutes we had 1. All in all we had a pleasant stay."

"I am a walker and could walk everywhere I wanted to go: good public transport close by if preferred. I booked three nights ahead of a cruise, the location was more than adequate for Darling Harbour & the Quay, Rocks, Opera House, Botanical Gardens etc."

"Our stay at the W Hotel was excellent! Nice room with a great view! Very good amenities like the pool and very friendly staff. All contributed to a wonderful experience. For improvement would probably be the variety of food choices at the breakfast buffet as there were some items that we were looking for that were not part of the selection. Overall it was a great experience!"

"PROs: The locations is great in a really cool old building. Very walkable to Pyrmont wharf, coffee shops, restaurants, Fish Market. The room was a nice size for a family. The swimming pool is great. CONs: The apartments are very tired…. It is clear that they haven’t been refreshed at all since the 90s. The carpet is really worn out. Not all of it can be attributed to age… they just desperately need to be deep cleaned. I would expect a lot better for the money we paid. "

"Overall a very poor experience. A very dated hotel that is desperate for a makeover. Our room at $500/ night had plenty of space but was very dated, grubby, poor (cheap) amenities. The furniture was old as hell and made the room plum uncomfortable. I honestly think hotel owners/ managers in Australia need to serve a year in Asia to see how it’s done because the standard here is appalling. "
