We blew an electrical breaker trying to use an American hairdryer and they promptly got the electricity fixed. "We never got to stay in the apartment because we couldn't safely get to it. We were informed on the Expedia page that it would be a first-floor apartment. This was not true. The apartment was on the fourth floor (which is fifth floor in the US). The stairs were dangerous and unsafe. "This rustic yet modern building is in walking distance of historic Edinburgh. The room and amenities were excellent, service great, the sister restaurant had excellent food and drinks. Highly recommend this hotel."

"Excellent location by Hollyrood Palace. Well equipped kitchen. Larger bathroom than most of our lodgings. Although space was limited for 3 people, it worked. Two of us used a large bathtub in a room adjacent to the bathroom to organize luggage. Excellent king bed."

"We made a reservation a month before our arrival for a Thursday and a Friday night. Our train plans changed and decided to give Friday night back. We were informed that it was a $500.00 penalty.
