"Really loved my stay. The staff were wonderful and provided excellent hospitality. We meant a lot of people from around the world. We loved the nature. I tried kayaking and the outdoor hot tub. My only tip is to make sure you are covered up as there are a lot of sandflies and wear insect repellent. Overall loved our stay and very memorable"

"The unit was adequate for a two night stay. Very convenient for early morning boat trip on Doubtful Sound. Beautiful view of lake. Road a stone’s throw in front of unit but not very busy and bedroom was at the rear. Old fashioned interior and furnishings. Plenty of hot water, clean bedding and towels. No television but good WiFi. Overall we felt pricing was a bit on the high side. Parking beside unit. "

"The rooms have an incredible view of the garden and lake. The room is spacious with a kitchenette. There is a washer and dryer on the premises. Cost 5.00. The staff was very nice. I noticed thr bathroom mirror was cleaned and the mattress was uncomfortable. "

"Our room was comfortable. We had a suite and there as no TV in the bedroom which would have been more comfy. The bed was comfortable and great to sleep in. The bathroom was good except the shower had a pull around screen instead of a fixed one and we found that once showering the water went everywhere."

"The king suite was spacious, comfortable, and dark/quiet at night. Super clean. Fridge and water kettle with extra counter and sink made basic food prep easy. Good Wifi and smart TV. Easy to walk to town and Milford Sound day cruise departures. Great tourist advice. Parking fine. Do understand that our spacious room is not the same for all. "A dated hotel that is really almost a motel in terms of rooms and stay quality. Condition is fine and front desk staff helpful but it isn't a good choice for a romantic getaway."

"Generally ok place to stay. Has everything you need like all other hotels. Unfortunately the 1 bed apartment are not sound proof. So we had a poor nights sleep with hearing the people above us walking around and playing music until midnight and then car doors closing at 7am. The rooms don’t feel very private either with big glass doors in the bedroom and lounge so you have people walking past and looking in. Also worth noting, no air con "

"Beautiful property! Great location 5 minute walk to town centre, restaurants and shopping. Laura & Derek were very welcoming and serve an EXCELLENT cooked breakfast! There recommendations were perfect for us. Clean well appointed room. Hot tub was a nice touch and the Garden very nice. Highly recommended."
