"almost none of the pictures are accurate ; It’s is not one minute away from nanjing rd; it’s about 20 minutes driving. Jade Temple is the only one close (about 5 blocks from it. At the beginning they gave a room with a restroom and shower in a transparent box! You can see through! I had to ask for different room and they tried to charge me for that; finally I didn’t ….be sure you download didi app for taxis it’s a complicated area to ride a taxi."

"The room is clean. The staff is nice. There is a laundry room. The hotel delivered us warm breakfast. It was really nice. There are a few restaurants across the street. The bus station is about 3-5 minutes walk. The subway station is a little farther. You can take bus to the subway station. "

"The three young ladies at the front desk were welcoming and friendly. I was offered a free room upgrade, but I could hear everything through the vents. The occasional mobile ringtone, the hourly shower or rain water crashing against a hard surface, the chatter from the hallway, and etc. I found loose hairs of different textures on the sheets and blanket. One of the bath towels had red food stains from what looked like hot chili oil. The communal spaces were filthy. "I was back again at this hotel and it's one of my go-tos in Shanghai. The hotel is nice, breakfast is good, rooms are nice, and important for me it's right across the street from Shanghai train station. The metro exit is right next to the hotel making getting around in Shanghai very easy. The one thing I don't care for is the elevator system. For whatever reason it is very slow, so if you are on a high floor sometimes you will need to wait quite a while for an elevator. But this is only a minor inconvenience compared to the benefits."
