"I always stay at the Lockkeeper when I'm up visiting family. It's clean, comfortable with plenty of parking and excellent wi-fi (I worked from the hotel one day, including video calls). The staff are always welcoming and friendly and I often eat at the pub when I stay. It would be good to have an ashtray by the hotel, the only ashtrays are currently in front of the pub."

"The room was beautiful. We had been to a wedding so they allowed late arrival back. The only feedback is they the room was stifling hot to enter. There wasn’t air conditioning but there was a fan they I was happy with. The pillows were so comfy and it was a luxurious stay. Would return. Breakfast was also delicious. "

"My friend and I only stayed here for a single night so we could visit Chatsworth House and we kept talking afterward about how we wished we had stayed at least another day because this inn was absolutely wonderful! The room we had was so adorable and lovely, plus they had complimentary snacks and refreshments for us! We arrived earlier than the check-in time and the staff was super lovely about holding our bags for us so we could go visit Chatsworth while waiting for our room to be ready. Even...

"Really lovely place in beautiful location. Room was fabulous, very clean and comfortable. Was very quiet too and got an excellent nights sleep.The bar was great for a late night drink before bed, staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent ( cooked options not included in price) the only negative was there was no gluten free option. Would definitely stay again."

"The hotel was a good base for the surrounding area. It was very clean and the staff were lovely and helpful. I've given it 4 stars on facilities because our room was quite small and didn't have a lot of room to manoevre around. Also we didn't realise when we booked that the pub didn't do food on the Sunday or Monday evenings and the bar closed early too. Overall a pleasant stay."
