"Room was lovely: comfortable big bed, spacious room, tea, coffee facilities, fridge with complimentary still water, lovely shower. Breakfast was lovely: bacon etc was hot, a good choice: continental, cereals, fresh fruit, smoothies, and staff were efficient in ensuring food was replenished. we were upgraded as a surprise after reception staff found out my milestone birthday was coming very soon. Great overnight stay. "

"The staff were very helpful & informative. The breakfast buffet could have more items however it was still decent. For breakfast, we were offered vegetarian sausages seperately as the buffet did not have any vegetarian sausages. That was very thoughtful of the staff. The room had everything we required, a hairdryer, a fridge (requested earlier), a fan & were able to adjust the heating in the room. The spa facilities were nice & clean."

"The Grand is a beautiful hotel in the heart of the city! We had a fantastic view of the church and the wheel and the room was large with lots of thoughtful details! The bar is lovely and we enjoyed the Friday evening Jazz singer. Breakfast was great and the staff were really helpful in finding options to suit my dairy intolerance. We will come again! "

"Parking was very limited. We found one very tight space after driving around. £15 .00 was expected though. Breakfast was below average. DO NOT TRY THE SCRAMBLED EGG.. It tastes nothing like egg, just powdery and dry (made from powdered egg?). The rest was okay if you don't need a fry up (no other form of egg on offer anaemic sausage). Our rooms were very basic. I travel a lot. £330.00 for two rooms for a night... Not great. "

"The hotel was clean an spacious. Close to the center of Town. I brought a few things to the attention of house keeping and they were rectified. Bed was softer than i would normally like, but the room was a good size and quiet. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. I would stay again. As would the friends I was with. "

"The room was immaculate and decent. Location wise it super accessible to the city centre There’s good street parking at the weekend. If you’re staying in the weekday you may need to find a car park. "

"Yes the only criticism was on the 15/4/26 in the restaurant they were pretty busy but the service was very slow which was a shame as it was our 48th wedding anniversary. The food was amazing but only having a main meal and dessert in 2 hours was not really acceptable. "

All water wasn’t working for at least two hours and had no notice, staff was rude over the phone when I was asking for help with something, a leak was coming through the lights in my room and the staff didn’t help just told us to stay in the room and there was nothing they can do"
