Top Charingworth Hotel Reviews

The Wood Norton

The Wood Norton

8/10 Good
"The building and grounds are stunning. Gorgeous setting, but the food, amenities and service standards don't quite live up to the visual expectation. The michelin- starred chef who has written the menu is as close to michelin starred as the place will be, I'm afraid. The food was fine, but not glorious. The service was a little haphazard, would have been so much better if done with some interest or a smile (except for the lovely chap in the bar, who was very good, remembered people's drinks, asked if he could do any more etc). The pool table was a welcome attraction (it has a definite slope and is positioned too close to one wall). The gym is stuck in a building used as a store, not kept clean and mostly forgotten. This could be so much more of a feature. Having to pay ยฃ25 each to use the pool next door is a liberty. I don't know why they don't extol the history of the building and it's various uses which would be of great interest to visitors. But the most troublesome aspect were the moths and wasps in the corridor in Pear Tree Mews, which were reported, but nothing done about them. Leaving lights on and windows open was a mistake. Overall, a lovely venue, the rooms are nice (could do with plugs near the bed) , but needs to raise its profile to meet its splendour"

Holiday Inn Express Warwick - Stratford-upon-Avon by IHG

Holiday Inn Express Warwick - Stratford-upon-Avon by IHG

8/10 Good
"Overall it was decent. Couple of minor points that prevented my review going above 4 stars. Definitely noted that room cleaning service lacked a good clean. The other was on our check out day. We find after going for breakfast we were locked out of our room as the key cards no longer worked. If we are all to check out by 11am. At what point did our entry card cease to work? Breakfast finished at 10am. We only needed to return to get our already bags sorted and things to go. But, couldn't get in. Reception had to issue a new card. Pointless giving reception team more work when it's completely unnecessary wouldn't you agree Holiday Inn?"

"It was an overall okay experience, but they donโ€™t reply to their emails. They donโ€™t reply to their Expedia messages as well. I find it weird. Also, the drawer we had in our room had crumbs from another guest."

Warwick Castle Hotel and Knight's Village

Warwick Castle Hotel and Knight's Village

10/10 Excellent
"This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in as a family. The rooms are spacious, considering all aspects of childrenโ€™s needs, small toilet seats, finger guards on the doors, and once our room door is closed, you canโ€™t hear any other families, not even corridor noise. The perfect end to a birthday spent at the castle for our 9 year old. Every member of staff made her feel special from balloons in the room to singing happy birthday to her. And Warwick castle itself full of beautiful pieces of history and fun things to do and see for all the family. The only thing to mention is the kings tavern food wasnโ€™t the best and price of the all you can eat buffet put us off, so we all opted for pizza twists potato wedges and a freshly cooked burger from the grill, the best burger ever!! We were expecting a little more extravaganza for the evening entertainment but all in all a great stay. Breakfast is included in your overnight stay and the breakfast chef out did herself! Absolutely delicious, cooked well, and hot."
