"This is an older property, and it shows. We had a downstairs room and we could hear every step, scrape, chair and more from the guests upstairs. It's built around a small car park and you will hear every car that comes and goes all night long. If you';re looking for a good night's sleep you may want to look elsewhere. That aside, rates are decent for PacGrove, and it was very clean. Upcharge to have a dog in the room, which I always find a bit of a ripoff--"

"The property itself was very clean and newly painted. However, behind the building there is an area that gives access down to the beach area that could have used a lot of work. Definitely a beautiful full place, but would’ve been more appealing if the area behind the building leading down to the beach was cleaned up of debris"

"This place is acceptable if you are ok with a early mid-century, somewhat refurbished 2-story roadside motel kind of place that isn't kept up very well. I know, you get what you pay for. The check-in was very difficult, with a person, reachable only by phone (there is no-one at the property) that did not want to be helpful. One of those "call Expedia, they will give you check in code". After several attempts with Mr Unhelpful, when Expedia still did NOT have any code, they had to get...

"A wonderful place to stay! Peaceful, spotless, and incredibly relaxing. The staff is amazing—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and very well maintained. The best part is that the hotel is right in front of the beach, where you can enjoy complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, and everything you need for a perfect day by the ocean. I highly recommend Silver Surf Gulf Beach Resort. 100%! 🌴☀️"

"Clean rooms, great staff, easy walk to the beautiful beach, easy walk to a few restaurants and seven eleven. They had chairs and beach towels on site we were able to use. The pool was a shared pool with the other little hotels. I had only one issue and that was the water pressure but I'm assuming because we are at the beach? We had a great experience overall and would stay again. Thank you."

"1st stay here after over 40yrs of visiting the island. Its a nice clean place. Needs a little maintenance on some small items but would definitely come back. Curtious and kind staff, plenty of towels and great location."
