"Hotel was the perfect location. Staff was amazing and very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and was what we needed, but you can tell it’s a little older. Rooms were clean. Only downfall was the view of the parking lot, but we booked this stay last minute so we understand our choices were limited. "

"I love that I didn’t have to leave the hotel. Everything I needed was here (pool, beach, bar, restaurant). It would be excellent but 1 minor detail, parking. The is small and gets full fast but nevertheless they have another lot across the street. "

"Close to the venue we were at. A bit noisy during the night due to outside noise... but it is downtown Houston. The walkabilty factor to where we were going was ideal tho and the hotel was very clean! "

"Staff and front desk were very helpful with any question or requested. The suite was great for our family of 6 with separate quarters available. I was hoping for full rooms set of two not one and the other separated by a sliding wall. It is a bit older building however, very well maintained."

"The property was very clean, close to the beach. Staff was very kind and very attentive we wanted a conjoined room they helped us with no problems!! Highly recommend! "

"I really enjoyed my day. The staff was amazing and it was very peaceful there. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. They also allowed free transportation within a mile and a half radius. The drivers were amazing!"

"We had a great experience at the Magnolia hotel. We read some reviews prior to booking and a few people mentioned the homeless in the area which is true but to be expected of a downtown city in my opinion. We thought the room was updated and in great condition, sure the carpet looks a little old, but not a concern by any means. You stay at a hotel like the Magnolia for the character and charm. We had a great overall experience with friendly staff. "
