"the room and staff were great. breakfast buffet was very good, although the choices were identical for 7 mornings in a row. dinners at the restaurant were really good, although they stop taking orders at 9p, which did not work out with our schedule on two of the nights (I wish would stay open later, even if only had a limited menu). the bar charges are exorbitant -- scotch whiskey was 3300 ISK per serving, so a double whiskey (minimum sized pour) is 6600 ISK or $54.42 USD !! (even our Icelandic guest was shocked). overall, we had a great time there and would definitely return."

"Very remote ~? 1.5 hours from any civilization if Vik qualifies. First time ever experience staying in a Hostel anywhere & we're in our 80s! Wish we had know to bring our own food to cook as they had great cooking facilities. Only evening eating option was 4 choices of thin crust pizza that tasted great. Breakfast part of the cost was great."

"Everything was clean. Staff we helpful, though check-in was very quick and interactions after that were minimal. Breakfast was good. The only thing we ran into was parking: having arrived in the evening around 7-8ish, we found the lot behind the hotel full. It was not a huge issue though, because the street offered ample parking."

"Very large place, with full refrigerator, stove and microwave - even has a washer and dryer. Heating is in the floor, so slow to adjust to the temperature you want, but calling the property management was helpful in trouble-shooting what we should do to get the place cooler (in September!). Walkable to the new old town section and right across the street from a Netto. Very handy location."
