"Really enjoyed our stop at The Hill - staff upgraded us to the main building (didn't realize i booked us into the cottages by mistake) and was very pleasant. Room was fine - a little small with an odd door out the bathroom to the patio - but was cute and cozy. Restaurant staff was nice and the girl at the front was really friendly and welcoming. "

It's a great central location to go to Gullfoss, Geysir, several hikes (some that are only accessible in the summer), the only mushroom farm in Iceland and has a cafe, a dairy farm with cafe, and the Secret Lagoon. There's also a great restaurant ten minutes away that specialized in chocolate and langostines. Our room was quite large, which we appreciated. However, we could hear everything other guest were doing - walking or running down the hall, moving...

"We had a perfect short stay, and would have loved to stay longer if our itinerary allowed. Everything was perfect and clean, as if we were the first visitors. We are a family of 6 with 4 children, and were hesitant if the kids would feel comfortable next door to us. It worked out perfectly. Clean and cozy! Bonus: We were able to see the Northern Lights even though it was a cloudy night. "

"Heima Holiday Homes are located just a short drive from town, and offers supreme serenity and great Mountain View. Self-checkin was hassle free. The home was fully furnished and equipped. Floor was heated, including bathroom floor. We especially enjoyed the company of the property’s two friend dogs who came by my cabin and played ball with us (the dog brought its own ball to ask us to play, so cute!) The only one thing I would ask for is a little shelf in the shower area for us to place our own...

"Very room with a view that takes your breath away! At first we had no idea where to go to check in, we were not aware of the code for the key. We knocked on the staffs door and he told us, I did feel like we were bothering him so we felt bad. Other than that the property is nice. Lesson learned though, this property is 45-60 minutes away from the next town. Bring food, water and a bottle of wine with you!"

"Hotel looks recently built. Property is esthetically contemporary zen style. Lovely. The restaurant also served delicious dinner. The geysirs are a 5 min walk away. We enjoyed the eruptions after a late night dinner. Gullfoss waterfall is a short 10 min drive away (in May). No crowds in mid May at 8am, we were only 1 of 2 cars. "
